The Ohio State University’s Undergraduate Fellowship Office is proud to announce that Arón Olegnowicz-Cruz (BA ’24, BS ’24) has been selected for the Schwarzman Scholars Class of 2026–27, becoming Ohio State’s second Schwarzman Scholar.
Cordelia Van der Veer was one of 20 rising seniors across the country to be awarded the Beinecke Scholarship. The Beinecke Scholarship program seeks to encourage and enable highly motivated students to pursue opportunities available to them and to be courageous in the selection of their graduate course of study. To meet its mission, the scholarship provides up to $35,000 toward graduate funding for students intending to pursue a terminal degree in the arts, humanities, and social sciences.
Ohio State alumnus Abu Rogers has been selected as a 2023 Knight-Hennessy Scholar. He graduated from the Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry in 2020.
Two Ohio State students, rising juniors and Eminence Fellows Catherine Adams and Abi Dumm, have been selected to participate in Fulbright’s nationally competitive UK Summer Institutes. The three to four week summer institutes allow participants who have no or very little travel experience outside North American, to explore the culture, heritage, and history of the UK while experiencing higher education at a UK university.
Two Ohio State students have been recognized by the Udall Foundation. Udall recognizes outstanding students involved in leadership, service, and careers related to the environment, and awards $7,000 toward undergraduate expenses to 55 undergraduates nationally.
