Goldwater Scholarship
The Goldwater Scholarship awards $7500 toward undergraduate expenses to sophomores and juniors who demonstrate potential for success in a research career in the sciences, engineering, or mathematics and who intend to pursue a PhD.
Astronaut Scholarship
The Astronaut Scholarship awards $15,000 toward undergraduate tuition and life-long membership to the Astronaut Foundation to sophomores and juniors who represent the brightest and most talented college students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics and who intend to pursue a PhD and research career.
Udall Scholarship
The Udall Scholarship awards $7000 toward undergraduate expenses to sophomores and juniors pursuing careers related to the environment with clear graduate school plans and career aspirations. Udall also provides awards for American Indian students planning careers in tribal policy or tribal health care. Udall prioritizes leadership experience and community involvement.
Churchill Scholarship
The Churchill Scholarship funds one year of graduate study in engineering, mathematics, and the sciences at the University of Cambridge. Competitive candidates have high achievement in academics and significant research experience.
DAAD-RISE
DAAD-RISE funds paid summer STEM research experiences in Germany for sophomores and juniors from US, Canadian, and UK universities. No German language skills required.
NSF Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU)
NSF Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) places undergraduates in STEM in intensive summer research at U.S. institutions or international locations; provides a stipend and in some instances funds and assists with housing and travel.
