Are you a senior and wondering what to do after graduation? Would you like to spend a year abroad? Consider applying for the Fulbright U.S. Student Program as an English Teaching Assistant (ETA) in one of nearly 140 countries! Competitive ETA applicants come from all majors, so whether you’re studying economics, soil science, journalism, education, or something else entirely, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
The Undergraduate Fellowship Office (UFO) is offering a fast-track application process to complete a full Fulbright ETA application over the course of 5 weeks. Starting September 2, 2025, UFO staff will guide applicants through a series of steps that will enable them to submit their applications by the national deadline on October 7.
The Fulbright Fast-Track Process will include:
- Week of Sept. 2: A required meeting with UFO staff
- Week of Sept. 8: Writing workshops for application essays: Statement of Grant Purpose and Short Answers
- By Sept. 18: A draft of the Statement of Grant Purpose due to UFO
- By Sept. 28: A draft of the Short Answers due to UFO
- Week of Sept. 29: Application endorsement meetings with UFO staff
- By Oct. 2: Full draft of the application due to UFO
- Oct. 7, 5 p.m.: National application due in the application portal
To participate in this process, please complete this Intent to Apply form by August 27. UFO staff will be in touch to share resources and to schedule a meeting during the first week of September.
