Congratulations to Rita Kret for being awarded a DAAD-RISE internship! DAAD-RISE gives second and third-year STEM undergraduate students an opportunity to take part in a summer internship researching at top German Universities.
Rita is a junior Stamps Eminence scholar majoring in Chemical Engineering and minoring in French. At the Ohio State University she works with Dr. Nick Brunelli researching the synthesis and reactivity of zeolite catalysts. Last summer, she also completed an NSF-funded Research Experience for Undergraduates at University of California, San Diego working with perovskite solar cells. Additionally, she is a leader of the student project Buckeye Solar Racing designing solar-powered vehicles. Throughout her career, she hopes to work in the renewable energy field, and she is excited to use her research skills this summer through DAAD-RISE at RWTH Aachen University in Aachen, Germany.
