Knight-Hennessy Scholars

Overview

The Knight-Hennessy Scholars program develops a community of future global leaders to address complex challenges through collaboration and innovation. Every year, up to 100 high-achieving students from around the world will receive full funding to pursue any graduate degree at Stanford, including the JD, MA, MBA, MD, MFA, MS, and PhD programs, as well as all joint- and dual-degrees. Knight-Hennessy Scholars is the largest fully endowed scholars program in the world. University endorsement is optional for currently enrolled and recently graduated students.

Eligibility

  • Must be accepted by your desired degree program at Stanford
  • Must have earned your undergraduate degree within seven years of your enrollment date in the Knight-Hennessy Scholars program

Selection Criteria

  • Independence of thought
  • Purposeful leadership
  • Civic mindset

Application Materials

  • Online application
  • Resume
  • Transcript(s) and test scores
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Short answers and essay

Application Procedure

Campus Application Deadline – August 31, 2024. Updated to September 3, 2024 12 pm EST.

Campus Application Process – optional

University endorsement is optional for the Knight Hennessy Scholars program. If you would like a university endorsement, please complete the online application on Knight-Hennessy's website by the date listed above. Recommendations are optional by the campus deadline, as are your transcripts, but all other components must be complete. 

Once you have completed the online application materials for the campus deadline, export your application as a PDF, and send it to fellowships@osu.edu. Additionally, contact us for support on your application at any time in the application process.

National Application Deadline – October 9, 2024, 1 pm Pacific Time 

All application materials must be submitted in advance of the national deadline.
